DUBA DUBA III
Performance in context of Slow Wave III
Duba Duba expands within the flow of the slowing-down projection of FUGA N22. It takes the space and performs the enclosure as a fluid inner or outer space, enhancing all its nature and the golden nature of the work. Again, the figures of the vocals are present, as is the connection to the time of innocence and childhood. Latin-American landscapes are open veins, as described in the book of Eduardo Galeano (writer and journalist). An exercise of remembering and oblivion—oblivion of what does not further help us, and remembering that we have a mission in this life, the roots are alive within each move and each tune. Each inflorescence is ephemeral, as if we were drops in the ocean of time. The language of the body is pure expression and connects us with a continuous present line.
With the mood and didactics of the music, interventions arise through the sound tapestry in the space, using harmonics fragments of the guitar, and we play questions and answers that are not, but a poem. We tune and construct with our bodies the long A of the round opening and the deep O of the closing and we stretch the I, the U, we pull with our arms the curved E and so we travel through spaces of time that bring back the inner child in us.
