Installation in public space layered with Sound and changing through time
organic sculptures made from cut juice and milk cartons, sound and mixed media, electrical and solar apparatuses
The glass box of the 20. district museum in Vienna displays an installation with oversized butterflies from the Series „PlanetA- zul“. On the floor, a terrarium landscape from lacquered kiwi shells grows over time. It is a sort of microcosm with sound – like a collage in space that envelops it. The idea refers to Kaf- ka and metamorphosis as well as to the climate changes of our era, for which butterflies are a beautiful metaphor. These butterflies are abstract organic sculptures made from cut juice and milk cartons. Some are left natural, others are lacquered in blue color. The sound is a new soundscape, which incorporates acoustic backgrounds from nature, in a fusion composition uni- fying field recordings, strings and voice. The discrete engraved glass plates record silhouettes, as a transparent dissection or blue print of the sound of the kiwis and butterflies, which come into synchrony with the passer-by scanning the interface-like surface. It opens with a happening for peace [PEACE Watermelon] celebrating the harvest season on August 1st and continues until the end of September, with performative scenes [Arresting Time and Sprouts]

The house of the butterfly ::: August’s photo report
The sound during summer and spring is been activated with streetlights starting with Nightfall and sporadically with solar system for camping when the sun kisses the set insight the glass box. Then, the electric ventilators set the butterflies into a gentle, fluttering dance.
