Geografía Errante
These works on paper draw inspiration from my observations and the raw sound materials I capture in my surroundings, reflecting a broader idea of the landscape shaped by time and history. The ink in these pieces emerges through transparent layers of water, forming organic nets that tell tales of Earth.
In chromatic monologues, they explore the borders of errant geographies: where melting ice and glacier flows cross valleys, fields, rain forests, and deltas. From the riverbanks of Paraná to the horizon melting into the sea, these physical borders are organic and ever-moving, once marked by bloodshed during the Triple Alliance War between Argentina, Paraguay, and Brazil. These mysterious, reshaped places are documented in political maps, laws, and systems of inclusion or exclusion, defining regions and countries or [out] land.
Water, in times of climate change, is a deeply political matter. The blue wild of the seas and oceans forms the core vision of my green-blue seascapes. These abstract compositions resemble animalistic fantasies, distant landscapes, or seascapes. They also address issues of plastic and sound pollution, incorporating fragments hybrid technical components of my own work and found industrial remnants.
These errant geographies build an imaginarium, depicting the life cycle of our water-rich planet. I view them in circles, swimming the Danube in cycles. The traces here are like remnants, echoes of tuned landscapes, and collective memories of sound. Life vanishes and reappears through the layers of ink, reminding us of life on Earth.
